a prism causes dispersion of white light  but glass slab does not.give reasons

when a glass slab is divided diagonally, we obtain two prisms. when light passes through first prism ,  it gets dispersed & as it passes again through the second prism it tourns into white light again.

hence glass slab does not disperse light.
