living organisms are classified to make the study,organisation and work easy so as to make the life comfortable  by  better understanding of surroundings.

different criteria chosen to classify people that we meet often are

Shape Size Colour,Caste,Race,Gender,Religion etc.

Identification of individuals and populations teaches that the nature has created many different creatures with different features but all have a significant role in progress of the universe
