What Is It
Agricultural scientists or agronomists as they might be called, study and teach crop production and soil management. It is a broad term encompassing crop physiology and management, soil science, plant breeding, microbiology, biotechnology and other life sciences related to plants.
Qualification
BSc. with Biology or Agriculture followed by MSc. or PhD in required field.
Scope
They are hired in universities and research institutes for crop research and development. They are hired as well by seed companies and in government departments for service extention to farmers.
