Agriculture-Plant Pathologist
What Is It
Plant pathology is the science of diagnosing plant diseases (not including the damage caused by insects or mammals). They study and deal with plant disease and their control in various climates, geographical regions and varied soil types.
Qualification
BSc Agriculture and then Masters/PhD is required.
Scope
Plant pathologists are hired by universities for research work and for farmer support schemes. They are also hired by agencies and research institutions offering diseases identification services to the farmers.
