What Is It

Medical officers provide medical care for the personell of all three services and their families.They give advice on occupational and community medicine. They also manage the hospitals, clinics and MI rooms.

Qualification

12th class or equivalent with PCMB, NDA exam and SSB interview. Selected candidates go to specialised Defense Services medical institutions to be trained.

Scope

Army doctors look after the families of soldiers.They may also do medical research to look for breakthrough cures for diseases and disabilities.
