Health and safety engineers promote worksite or product safety and health by applying knowledge of industrial processes, along with mechanical, chemical, and psychological principles. They anticipate, recognize, and evaluate hazardous conditions and develop hazard control methods. They have to do this in consideration of the health and safety regulations of the state.
With the growing attention on work environment and professional hazards, the demand of health and safety engineers is increasing. They are employed in construction companies, all types of industrial establishments and state departments of health and safety.
