What Is It
They develop new types of metal alloys which are used for special purposes. Metallurigical engineers work in one of the 3 branches of metallurgy-Chemical or extraction, Physical or mechanical or Process metallurgy.
Qualification
10+2 with PCM B.tech. + M.tech.
Scope
They would be hired in research laboratories,industries and plants extracting and processing metals like iron and steel,nickel, tin,copper,zinc etc. They can work for both government as well as private firms.
