What Is It
Engineers specializing in signals and telecommunications are incharge of the functioning of the railways network. They regulate the movement of trains.
Qualification
10+2 with PCM and B.Tech, Mtech, MSc. + UPSC (Union Public Service Comission) Exam.
Scope
They are picked up on probaation. They are trained and finally posted as Asst. Signal and telecommunication engineers. The promotions are pretty much same as for other branches. The railways is a closed sector, hence they work for the Government only.
