Q.1. What are your views on the changing scenario in the education sector over the last decade?
Extramarks online
testing is very popular
among students.
Change is definitely on the horizon. Over the last decade, new technology has been transforming the education sector perceptibly. The focus is shifting from content oriented to a
more knowledge oriented education.
Q.2. Do you think the integration of ICT and school curriculum can lead to a more effective
education?
In today’s context, IT has become the driving force behind the academic progress. If implemented correctly, IT can make the educational process more interactive, individual centred, accessible and easier.
Q.3. Do you have a unique approach to education? How have you incorporated it in your school?
Yes, to overcome the challenges of a monolithic education system, it is imperative to ensure that the present and the coming generation should benefit from technology and elearning tools. We’ve set up the first “online testing” tool for classes III – VI, X & XII in our school.
Q.4. You have been using Extramarks services in your school for quite sometime now. How
have these enhanced the learning environment in your school?
Students are interested in using the online testing tool. They are ready to stay back after school hours and do the test, which is a welcoming factor. This way we are promoting individual learning by preparing customised tests for different kind of students.
Q.5. What has been the most challenging task that you have come across during your
tenure as the principal?
To break the mindset of parents who believe that Chalk and Talk is the only way for the Teaching-Learning process. I have tried my best to make them more open to new possibilities and learn to embrace change. We have to understand that it’s crucial to move ahead with changing times and integrate modern methods with traditional learning pattern. Students, teachers and parents need to understand and challenge assumptions about the future of education.
Q.6. What do you foresee for the education sector in the coming future?
Education sector is going to see a sea of change in the future. New age technology, latest learning modules, elearning, etc. will contribute in bringing a positive change in our educational system. In the coming future, we need to maintain a fresh and stimulating approach towards learning.
