The description of a person’s physical appearance, work, temperament, habits, achievements and other salient personal traits is known as biographical sketch. It presents the facts about a person’s life and provides an overview of the life of a person. It is always written in the third person, even if you're writing about yourself.
A biographical sketch is always written by someone else except the person on whom it is written. The main focus of a biographical sketch is to portray a person in an admirable way highlighting the attributes which make him/her an exceptional being.
The sketch should provide readers with basic information about the person, and give them a sense of the person's character. It must include a person’s age, physical appearance, education, profession, habits, disposition and attributes. You should use specific details and engaging language to demonstrate what makes the person you're writing about different from anyone else.
