Words Expressing Cries of Animals and Birds
Animal language is any form of communication that shows similarities to human language; however, there are significant differences. Most of the animals and birds use sound to communicate, though much of their communication is non-verbal. Learning the sounds or cries of various animals and birds helps learners identify them.
The structure of the sounds made by different animals and birds is different from the structure that the humans have. English language has a variety of interesting words denoting the cries of animals and birds. In English we learn that a bear growls, a camel grunts, but birds sing, chirp and twitter as well, depending on the situation whether they are happy, hungry, or just talking may be! Similarly, cats mew or purr, whereas dogs and foxes bark. There are birds like eagles that scream and doves that coo.
