An email is a computer-generated message communicated electronically. Nowadays it has become the most preferred and appropriate method for communication, official or personal. Modern email operates across the internet or other computer networks.
An email message consists of two components, header - that contains information concerning the sender and the recipient, and body - that contains the actual content. The body of an email is just the same as the body of a regular letter. Sometimes, it contains a signature or automatically generated text that is inserted by the sender’s email system. Although email is relatively a new form of communication, it is a valuable communication tool and its widespread use in academic and business settings prove its impact. Like any other form communication, an email too should be clear, concise, organised and correct, in order to convey the writer’s message to the intended audience.
