Pronouns are used in the place of nouns or noun phrases to avoid repetition. There are different kinds of pronouns:

1. Personal 2. Reflexive 3. Emphatic 4. Reciprocal 5. Demonstrative 6. Distributive 7. Indefinite 8. Interrogative 9. Relative PERSONAL PRONOUNS: I, we, you, he, she, it are called personal pronouns because they stand for three persons,

The person speaking The person spoken to The person spoken of RELATIVE PRONOUNS: Relative pronouns relate to some noun coming before in the sentence. The forms of Relative Pronouns are the same for singular and plural, masculine and feminine. For e.g.

1) Words such as -that, which, who do the work of pronouns.

2) Words such as- that, which, who do the work of pronouns.

3) Words such as- that, which, who do the work of pronouns.

INTERROGATIVE PRONOUNS: Pronouns similar to relative pronouns but used for asking questions are called interrogative pronouns.

Interrogative pronouns are pronouns that help to ask questions and at the same time do the work of nouns they stand for. There are different forms of interrogative pronouns. They can be categorized as follows:

i) For persons: Who, whom, whose

ii) For things: what

iii) For persons and things when choice is restricted: which
