Presently, I am working as Assistant Manager in Bank Of America, New York, U.S.A. I have completed my graduation in Commerce with 76% (aggregate) marks in July 2010 and soon started my career in Bank Of America as a Public Relations Officer and got promotion as an Assistant Manager in September 2011.
My degree in Commerce has enabled me to develop financial skills and an analytical/logical approach to tasks. During my career I have developed the ability to work under pressure and won accolades from my reporting officers and an award for completion of the targets ahead of time. I am able to work well both on my own initiative and as part of a team.
My main strengths are adaptability, dependability and the determination to get a job done as proven by my varied work experiences as a public relations officer and assistant manager in the banking sector. I try to learn something new from every experience because I believe there is always room for self-improvement both personally and professionally.
I have a visual impairment (full details are available on request), but this has not in any way prevented me from successfully completing a demanding degree course and further qualifications. Far from being a disadvantage, this has increased my awareness of the needs of others and has increased my determination to succeed and to persevere when obstacles are placed in my path.
I perceive that completing an MBA in Banking and Finance is crucial in my career in the banking sector. It is my dream to pursue a successful career in Banking and attain personal excellence and promote the firm where I am employed with at most sincerity coupled with professional competency.
Prepare a personal profile to be attached with an application for admission to a post graduate course in a reputed engineering college in your city. You may make use of the following points and add your own relevant details.
Excellence in science in school – science as a major subject in the undergraduate level – special interest in the subject – practical implications – motivation given by teachers – influence of the institution – inspiration gained by practical experience – future plans and ambition – desire to study in a reputed institute.Marks:10
My interest in science dates back to my years in high school, where I excelled in science, especially in Biology and Chemistry. When I was a senior, I opted for a course in Biochemistry at a local college and earned an A class. It seemed only logical that I pursue a career in Biochemical engineering.
When I began my undergraduate course, I had the opportunity to be exposed to the full range of engineering courses, all of which tended to reinforce and solidify my intense interest in engineering. I've also had the opportunity to study under eminent professors who were great visionaries. They instilled in me great desire to dedicate my life and career for pursuing excellence in the field of engineering.
Over the years I have developed a special interest in the field of biotechnology and chemical engineering. Last summer, when I was a technical assistant at a famous chemical lab, I learned about the many practical applications in chemical engineering in the field of biotechnology. Of course, my plan following the completion of my current studies is to move directly into graduate work toward my master's in chemical engineering. After I earn my master's degree, I intend to start work on my Ph.D. in Biochemical engineering. Later I would like to work in the area of research and development for private industry. I believe that I can make the great contributions, utilizing my theoretical background and creativity as a scientist.
I am highly aware of the superb reputation of your school, and my conversations with several of your alumni have served to deepen my interest in attending. I know that, in addition to your excellent faculty, your course structure, labs and library are best in the state. I hope you will give me the privilege of continuing my studies at your fine institution.
Write your personal profile to be posted in a blog painting a picture of your life in the light of a traumatic incident in your life. You may make use of the following outline.
Your happy childhood years – loving parents – sudden tragedy – serious illness to one of the family members – sudden change in the family atmosphere – explanation of the illness – your share in shouldering the burden – responsibility – fatigue – lessons learned – motivation.Marks:10
Eighteen years ago, I came crying into a world of wonder. I grew up surrounded by love, care, joy and laughter. But that world of joy was given a fatal blow on the day my mother passed away leaving my father and me shrinking into a world of loneliness.
I was not strong enough to bear any more blows of that kind. But another fatal blow followed soon. My father was diagnosed with leukemia. Suddenly I had to change role in the family from a spoiled pet of my loving parents to an adult responsible for looking after a cancer patient.
I had rearranged the structure of my life as he became increasingly incapacitated and depended on me a great deal. Often I took him to the hospital for transfusions or chemotherapy. After school, I raced home to complete my homework so that I could take care of my father. I cooked meals, cleaned up, and administered his medications. I went to bed each night after midnight, yet the fatigue I felt hardly touched me. I saw his fear, and it entered my life.
My father died on January 28, 2017. In the last year of his life, I was given the greatest gift I would ever receive: the gift of deep experience. My father gave me the opportunity to see through his eyes, triggering compassion in me and a sense of responsibility to those I love.
With this compassion and experience comes an even greater responsibility. As I move forward in my life, it is my hope that I will be able to dedicate my life for those who have lost all hopes for survival. Whatever little I can do will make someone’s life much better. However insignificant it may be, a burning candle removes some darkness.
