    Noise Pollution in A.T. Road

    Dear Sir,

Through your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of all the right-thinking people and the authorities to the noise pollution prevalent in A.T. Road.

Due to poor traffic control, the road is crammed most of the time and the vehicles keep honking unnecessarily. Loudspeakers, places of worship, marriages and shopping complexes also contribute in disturbing the peace of the area. Even at night there is no respite.

In the interest of the people living here, especially school students, this problem needs to be urgently sorted out. I request the district authorities to take proper action as the situation is just worsening.

    Yours truly,

    Karan Singh

Write a letter to the sub-inspector of a police station reporting about the theft of your bicycle.

    Marks:10
    Answer:

    B/180,

    Safdarjung Enclave,

    New Delhi – 110034.

    16th March, 20XX.

    Sub-Inspector of Police,

    Hauz Khas Police Station,

    New Delhi – 110024.

    Theft of Bicycle

    Sir,

I would like to inform you about the theft of my bicycle which has gone missing from the parking lot of my school premises since yesterday. I study in Hauz Khas Public School.

I cycled to school yesterday and parked my bicycle in the cycle-stand at around 7:30 a.m. I did not forget to tie a chain and lock for safety. However, when I returned at 3 'o' clock in the afternoon, I saw that my bicycle was missing. I could not find it anywhere. I immediately reported to the principal who asked the authorities to look into the matter. They are trying on their side but I felt that it would be better if I file an F.I.R. with you as well.

Mine was a bright red Hercules MTB. My name is etched on the inside of the seat. I purchased it from Raman Brothers, Green Park in January.

I hope these details will help you in your investigation. I will be grateful if you help me to find my bicycle.

    Yours faithfully,

    Subroto Das
