Give a brief narration of your one-day trip to Boulders Beach with your family.Marks:25
During the last winter vacation, I had gone with my family to Boulders Beach for holidaying. It was 40 km south of Cape Town. It is a beautiful place with golden sun soaked beach and slightly warm sea. It is home to a large colony of African penguins. The visitors flock to this beach to watch them walking across the beach. After breakfast, we left Cape Town for our holiday destination. We reached there by car, driving along the roads lined with big palm trees on one side and granite rocks facing sea on the other side. It took us one hour to reach Boulders Beach. We were lucky enough to get accommodation in a hotel which was a stone’s throw from the beach. The sea beach was crowded with people of all ages. They were engaged in various beach side activities like sea surfing, scuba diving, paragliding, sun bathing, volleyball, etc. The sunset at the beach was a spectacular vision to adore. We felt privileged to see a number of African penguins emerging from the sea and heading towards their burrows when it got a little dark. We took dinner at the hotel. The sea food was just amazing. Next morning after having delicious breakfast, we left the hotel and started for Cape Town back home. This trip indeed provided a welcome respite from the drudgery of the daily routine, going to school, doing homework post lunch and finally going to bed.
Give a brief description of your memorable journey to England.Marks:25
Last year I took admission in Fine Arts course at Cambridge, England. It was a huge thing for me, as it was going to be my first time travelling alone to a new country.
I was about to leave Durban when I realised
everything was going to be different from now on. This course consisted on being overseas for over two months taking Arts classes five days a week. I had the opportunity to know a lot of the UK, and other countries as well. Moreover, Cambridge was a lovely place to stay because it was quite small and safe. Actually, one of the things I did the most was just being chilling around Cambridge, and going to the shopping centres that I deeply fell in love with.
Days passed by, and I was beginning to feel a bit more comfy with England and my school. I met lots of people from around the whole world, but, yeah, I ended up hanging out with a couple of Brazilians. Every single day after school we went straight to Costa to grab something to drink, and then to the shopping centre to see what was new on sale. I would say my days at England were quite nice, as for the first time I felt that I didn’t have anything to worry about.
On weekends I visited new countries nearby England. I started by going to Scotland, where I had a great time walking days around Edinburgh. Then, I visited The Netherlands, where I just enjoyed myself. Then I decided to go to France, where everything was about love. Next, it was the turn for Spain, where I was delighted to hear a bit of Spanish. And lastly, I visited places close to Cambridge like London, Manchester, Leeds, and York. I had a great time seeing new places, most of the time I had the chance to meet locals that showed me a bit of their life.
My experience in Cambridge, England was a unique one, and a journey that I will always treasure in my heart. That is why I considered it as a memorable journey.
Give a brief narration of your first trip to Disneyland.Marks:25
I can never forget my first trip to Disneyland. I went to Disneyland in April this year with my mom and sister on my birthday. I’ve been to California before, but not to Disneyland. I remember driving to Disneyland. I would say that the drive was maybe about 3 hours long because there was a lot of traffic once we got in California.
On the way, we stopped at McDonalds since we didn't really eat anything in breakfast as we started early. We got to go to Disneyland and California Adventures.
First we went to Disneyland. We got on a lot of rides! I think my favorite one that I got on was either between Splash Mountain or Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Those were the ones that I really had fun on. The other ones were fun too. When we got something to eat we saw Mary Poppins. I wanted to take a picture with her, but all these people were short cutting me.
Later, we went to California Adventures. We didn’t really go on many rides as in Disneyland because we got there like in the middle of the afternoon. That’s usually when it starts to get crowded. But my favourite
ride there was Tower of Terror. I just liked the thrill of it. You don't know when you drop down. I was so scared though. Once I got on the ride I was saying to myself “it’s going to be all well”. Overall I had a fun time on that ride. After that we walked to go get on Cars Racers. We have been out all day and our feet got swelled when we got back home after another three-hour drive. But it was worth it as we had a great time! I hope to do that again soon!
