    Poor Roads and Drainage System

    Dear Sir,

Please allow me to draw the attention of the Administration and Municipal Committee through your esteemed daily to the worn out roads and drainage system in Kukatpally area, Hyderabad.

The roads are in hapless condition with numerous potholes everywhere. The locality has migrant people and asylum seekers from all parts of the world. People throw plastic bags and glasses all around. As a result the drains are blocked. During monsoon, water gets collected in huge volumes and disrupts the entire traffic. Normal life is thrown out of gear.

The concerned authorities should take appropriate action to ensure instant operation of pumping systems and keep the road drainage under check. At the same time, the people living here too should cooperate to tackle the conditions.

    Yours truly,

    Sunil Reddy

The children in your locality are forced to play on the street for want of a proper playground. Write a letter to the editor of a popular newspaper, pointing out the need for a playground in your neighborhood.

    Playground for Children

    Dear Sir,

Through the pages of your esteemed newspaper I would like to gather the attention of the authorities to an issue the children of my locality facing. There is no playground for the children of Chromepet area, Chennai.

The population of this street is quite sizable and the children of all ages play on the crowded streets. It is extremely dangerous for children to play on the streets.

It is essential that children get a playground with proper amenities for their physical and mental development.

Many children stay at home because the streets are unsafe for them to play and the parents rightly do not send them to play on the streets. They feel lonely and get addicted to TV, smart phones, video games, etc.

Our children are in desperate need of a good playground with proper facilities. I hope the authorities would take note of this issue and do the needful in the near future.

    Yours faithfully,

    Geeta Iyer
