Narrate an incident when you saved the life of your friend.

    Marks:25
    Answer:

I lived near a river and used to take bath and swim in the river every day. Thus I became a proficient swimmer. One day we were all enjoying thoroughly during our swimming practice at the school swimming pool. Our swimming trainer got a phone call and he went to the school office to attend the call. None of noticed that my friend John was drowning in the water. He was shy of water and always used to stay near the end of the pool and never ventured into the pool without someone’s help. Somehow he lost his foothold and started drowning.

Suddenly I noticed that John is not found in the corner of the pool where he used to stand. I searched everywhere but he was nowhere to be found. Suddenly I noticed his body almost submerged in the water.

With all my might I swam towards him. I pulled him holding on to his hand. He was lying numb. I pulled him to the side of the pool and by that time our swimming trainer came rushing to the pool hearing the commotion. He pulled him from the pond and laid him on the ground. He pushed his stomach hard and gave him artificial respiration. Water came out of his mouth. After a few minutes with a cough he started breathing again. We took him to hospital after giving him first aid. Thank God, nothing serious had happened to him. He is hale and hearty now.

Write an incident when you were falsely accused of stealing.

    Marks:25
    Answer:

Robert was our class mate, a boy from a rich family. His father was a rich merchant in the city. Robert used to bring expensive toys and stationary to the school. One day he came to school wearing an expensive watch which his father gifted him on his birthday. He proudly displayed his watch and all other students looked at him with jealousy.

When we came back after the interval, there was some commotion in the class. Robert was crying and a group of students had gathered around him. I asked my friend what had happened. He told me that Robert’s watch was found missing. Suddenly the teacher entered the class and asked us what was going on. Upon knowing that the watch was missing, he ordered our bags to be checked. I didn’t suspect any foul play. The class leader checked my bag and he took out Robert’s watch from my bag.

I was shocked. I didn’t know how his watch got into my bag. I was sent to the principal and she ordered my parents to be brought to school. As I reached home my parents scolded me very much. With tears I repeatedly told them that I did not do anything wrong.

I was asked to apologize publically. One week after this incident, one of my classmates came to me secretly and told me that it was he who placed Robert’s watch in my school bag. He was angry with me for some trivial things and wanted to take revenge. But he didn’t imagine that things would go out of control. He went and told the principal that he was the real culprit. Thus my honour was restored. I willingly forgave him and we are still good friends.

Narrate an incident when you managed to get an autograph from your favourite cricketer.

    Marks:25
    Answer:

One weekend Dad took the family for a dinner in one of the restaurants in the city. It was around 10 p.m. As we were having dinner I noticed a familiar face sitting opposite to us. Suddenly a spark flashed in my mind. Was it not David Miller, I wondered. The face was very familiar. I looked again. Yes, no doubt. It was my hero, David Miller, an aggressive left-handed middle order batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler.

Immediately I got up from my seat and rushed to him. I introduced myself and said that I was his great fan. I introduced my family members too. He was a down to earth person. He greeted my family members politely. He said that he came to our city to meet some of his relatives. He wanted to go about freely like an ordinary man, away from flashlights and cameras. I asked for his autograph and took some selfies with him. Soon people noticed us and they too recognised the cricketer. Within minutes they gathered around him. I felt guilty for spoiling the quiet evening my hero wanted to enjoy. But I was very happy in my mind as I got the once in a life time opportunity to talk to my hero and get his autograph.
