Extramarks Launches Smart K-5 Books at Eduthon 6.0, Chandigarh

Extramarks launched its Smart K-5 Books at Eduthon 6.0 in Chandigarh. The event was held on 10 October 2026 at Hyatt Regency, Chandigarh. About 1,000 educators from across the region came together to talk about the future of education in the age of AI (Artificial Intelligence).

The biggest moment of the day for Extramarks was the launch of our Smart K-5 Books. K-5 means classes from kindergarten to Class 5. The series includes the Early Footsteps and Little Footsteps books, with one simple promise: where every lesson comes to life.

The books were launched on stage with eminent education leaders, including Niyati Chitkara (Chitkara Schools), Anirudh Gupta, Kulbhushan Sharma (President, NISA, the National Independent Schools Alliance) and senior leaders from Extramarks.

What was discussed at Eduthon 6.0

The main theme was the future of education in the age of AI. AI is technology that lets computers do tasks that usually need human thinking, such as answering questions or checking work.

Speakers looked at how schools can use AI in a real, practical way, and what this means for teachers, students and school leaders.
