Extramarks recently launched Elevate, a series of webinars where leaders in the field of education meet and discuss the future of education. In the first session, the focus was on Top Trends in Education Technology, held on 22nd April 2023.

The panelists included Devidutta Kanungo, CEO of Radcliffe Group of Schools, Navi Mumbai; Kishore Iyenger, Cluster Principal of Vishwajyot High School, Navi Mumbai; and Poonam Singh Jamwal, Director of Extramarks Education.

Technology is playing an increasingly important role in the educational sector, with a number of emerging trends shaping the way we learn and teach. During a recent webinar, experts discussed some of the most exciting developments in this area, offering insights into how technology is changing the face of education.

One key trend highlighted during the webinar was the use of gamification in learning. Gamification involves incorporating game-like elements into the learning process to make education more engaging and fun. This approach has proven to be particularly effective for younger students who may struggle to stay focused during traditional classroom sessions.

In addition, personalized learning was another trend discussed during the webinar. With the help of technology, educators are now able to tailor learning experiences to individual students based on their strengths, weaknesses, and interests. This not only helps students to learn at their own pace but also allows teachers to identify and address any learning gaps more quickly and effectively.

Another major trend discussed during the webinar was the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in education. With the increasing availability of data analytics and machine learning tools, AI is now being used to enhance the learning experience for students and teachers alike. For example, AI algorithms can help to identify students who may be struggling with certain topics and provide additional support and resources to help them catch up.

Additionally, the rise of hybrid learning, which combines online and in-person instruction, has created new opportunities for technology to support education. By enabling students to learn at their own pace and providing more flexibility in the learning process, hybrid learning models are helping to make education more accessible and effective for a wider range of students. Overall, technology is set to play an increasingly important role in shaping the future of education, and these trends are just a few examples of the exciting developments to come.

In conclusion, the use of technology in education is rapidly evolving, and emerging trends such as gamification, personalized learning, AI, and hybrid models have the potential to transform the way we teach and learn. By embracing these trends and making technology more accessible, schools and teachers can prepare their students to be future-ready and better equipped for the challenges ahead. As we continue to explore the possibilities of technology in education, it is essential that we provide teachers with the tools and resources they need to effectively integrate these trends into their classrooms. The integration of technology into education represents a tremendous opportunity for positive change, and it is up to all of us – schools, teachers, and students alike – to make the most of it and build a brighter future for all.
