Internet is a large network of computer systems worldwide. It is an information system and a communication tool. World Wide Web is a system of interlinked hypertext documents called web pages that are accessed via internet. Hypertext Transfer Protocol defines the set of rules to support communication between web browsers and web servers

Protocol is a set of rules that allow the user to communicate or exchange the information over a network. Various communication protocols are File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Internet Protocol (IP). FTP is a standard network protocol to exchange and manipulate files over the internet. TCP is a connection oriented protocol, which ensures that the commands get through to the other end. IP is responsible for sending the datagram to the destination via network. Internet provides various real time applications. Website is a set of related web pages served from a single web domain. The pages of a website can be accessed from the Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Voice chat is a modern form of communication used on the Internet. A video-conference is a live video connection between people in separate locations for the purpose of communication. Internet chatting involves real-time instant text messaging between two or more users in chat rooms. E-Cards are the greeting cards sent on the internet usually through emails. A blog is an easy-to-create web site that allows the user to share their thoughts with the world. Popular sites such as blogger.com and wordpress.com allow the user to create a blog.
