Introduction to JEE Exam

The JEE is an entrance exam held in India by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for students seeking admission to the country’s most prominent engineering and architecture institutes. Every year, a massive number of students take the exam. JEE Main and JEE Advanced are the two phases of this national-level examination. JEE Main is the first step in the admissions process. JEE Main is the stepping stone to admission to the country’s top colleges and universities, including 31 NITs, 27 GFTIs, 23 IITs, and 18 additional CFTIs. Students who pass the JEE Main exam are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam. JEE is one of the most challenging exams, requiring dedication, hard work and an intelligent study approach.

Students who passed class XII in March 2021 or are taking the 2023 board exams are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2023.

Strategic Plan for Solving JEE Main Sample Papers – Section-wise Pointers

JEE Main is a very competitive examination. Therefore, candidates must possess robust preparation techniques and perseverance, and commitment. Here are a few subject-specific approaches to help solve JEE Main sample papers:

  • Mathematics:

For the past three years, the difficulty level of Mathematics questions has been easy to moderate. High-scoring topics include Vector 3D, Determinants, and Matrices, to name a few.

  • Physics:

Physics has been the toughest for the past 4 to 5 years. The Physics papers’ numerical questions were usually from class 11, while the concept-oriented questions were usually from class 12. As a result, many of the questions were lengthy and challenging to answer.

  • Chemistry:

Chemistry has always been an easier and higher-scoring subject than the other two. Concept-based questions on Organic and Inorganic Chemistry are more concept-based and directly correlate with respective options. So, if you want to get more correct answers, start with these questions in JEE Main sample papers.

Benefits of Solving JEE Main Sample Papers

The easiest way to gauge your JEE Main preparation levels is to solve the past years’ sample papers and appear for JEE Main mock tests.

  • Solving JEE Main sample papers allows students to become familiar with the marking scheme, exam pattern, types of questions, chapter weightage, etc.
  • Candidates will be able to understand the different natures of questions that are most likely to appear in the JEE Main.
  • The JEE Main question paper is divided into three sections. Once students begin solving JEE Main sample papers, they will know how much time each part will take. There is no alternative to improving your speed during exams other than to practice as many papers as possible.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. Can I crack JEE 2023 by only solving the previous year JEE Main question papers?

Solving only one year’s question papers might be a bit risky for an exam such as JEE Main as the papers are usually tricky and unpredictable. To be on the safer side and more thorough with your preparation, candidates must at least solve the past ten years’ JEE Main sample papers.

2. How to prepare for JEE Main 2023?

To achieve excellent outcomes, set and start with tiny goals. At first, the JEE syllabus appears to be very extensive. You’ll need to break the syllabus down into smaller chunks. Take one chapter, one topic at a time and complete the goals for that topic.

There should not be a single subject that should be left unaddressed. JEE questions can come from any topic in the syllabus.

Candidates must first study the theory/concept section before practising the problems. If you’re having trouble solving a problem, repeat the theory until you get it and practise JEE Main sample papers for better preparation.

Continue to revise the topics before the pre-examination period. Preparing for JEE Main takes a long time. Topics and concepts studied earlier may fade away after learning a new topic and solving problems. Consistent revision is required for effective preparedness.
