NEET 2021 consisted of 720 marks, which were evenly distributed among the three subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The level of the exam was found to be easy to moderate. On this page, the students can find the NEET 2021 question paper with the answer keys and solutions.
NEET Question Paper 2021 with Answer Keys- (Code A, B, C, D)
After the completion of the exam, the NEET 2021 question paper with answer key was released by the NTA on its official website. This helps the candidates in calculating their NEET scores and rank. NEET 2021 Question Paper Analysis
NEET 2021 question paper was said to be easy to moderate on the scale of difficulty. The experts and the students, however, felt that the paper was a bit lengthy. Students felt that the Physics questions were somewhat tricky, whereas the Chemistry and Biology sections were comparatively simpler.
In addition to the questions based on assertion and reasoning, NEET 2021 question paper had many questions in matching the column format. Like every year, the question paper was NCERT-centric, and it can be categorized as easy to moderate on the difficulty scale. The complete analysis of the NEET 2021 question paper helps the students in having an idea about the NEET exam pattern which gives them an extra edge in the preparation.
Since, the question paper was on the easier side of the difficulty level, the cut-off went higher, as expected. However, the students who had thoroughly covered the NCERT and practiced NEET question papers found it easier to clear the cut-off.
NEET 2021 Physics Question Paper Analysis
The physics section of the NEET 2021 question paper was between moderate and difficult for the students who appeared for the exam. The highest number of questions were asked from Mechanics, i.e., 13, followed by Electrostatics and electricity (11 questions), Physics and electronics (8 questions), Magnetism (7 questions), 4 questions, each from Optics and Heat and thermodynamics, and 3 questions from SHM and Waves.
If we compare with past years, this year the questions were predominantly numerical in nature. The numerical problems asked this year were 70% higher than the past years. The questions that were asked in the NEET 2021 question paper were tricky in nature and it required in-depth knowledge of the concepts to solve those questions. The questions from photoelectric effect, optics, and semiconductors were believed to be a bit tricky in nature.
NEET 2021 Chemistry Question Paper Analysis
The Chemistry questions came as a relief for the students as they were on the easy to moderate side of the difficulty scale. Most of the questions were sourced from facts, figures, and tables given in the NCERT textbook. Again, in this section, a lot of the questions were numerically based. However, most of the questions were statement based. Students who had covered the NCERT textbook thoroughly and practiced from the past years’ NEET question papers were able to answer the questions easily. There was a repeated question from the topic, the acidic strength of halogen acids. There were five questions of the matrix type, and 3 questions were graphical. There were 19 questions from Inorganic Chemistry, 16 from Physical Chemistry, and 15 from Organic Chemistry.
