The Government of India administers and controls the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a National Board Of Secondary Education for public and private schools. This Board was established in 1921 as the Uttar Pradesh Board of High Schools and Colleges. Since 1952, the organisation has been known as the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Class 11 Hindi Antra Chapter 16 Neend Uchat Jaati Hai is written by an Indian poet Narendra Sharma. He was born in Jahangirpur village of Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. He holds a Master of Arts degree from Prayag Mahila Vidyapeeth. He was interested in music as well and went to Mumbai in 1943. Until his death, he wrote scripts and songs for many films.
Some of his famous works include Prabhat Feri, Pravasi Ke Geet, Mitti aur Phool, Hansmala, and many more. He is the author of the poem, Neend Uchat Jaati Hai. The language he uses in his poetry and songs is simple. The poem portrays a long and never-ending night during which the poet is unable to see a ray of light. As described in the poem, there are two levels of darkness – one based on personal characteristics and the other based on societal concerns. According to the poem, he discusses how to rid oneself of the darkness and look at the bright side of life.
