(iv) Oxidation and reduction reactions.

(i) The behaviour of the gases under changes of temperature and pressure; an explanation in terms of molecular motion (particles, atoms,and molecules); Boyle’s Law and Charles’ Law; absolute zero; the gas equation; simple relevant calculations.

ICSE Important Questions for Class 9 Chemistry – Types of Questions
According to CBSE recent guidelines, the current exam paper format for Class 9 Chemistry is as follows:
There will be one paper carrying 80 marks of two hours’ duration and an internal assessment of practical work, which carries 20 marks.
The paper will be divided into two sections, Section I (40 marks) and Section II (40 marks).
Section I (compulsory) will contain shortanswer questions covering the entire syllabus.
Section II will contain six questions. Candidates will be required to answer any four of these six questions.
