Internet is a large network of computer systems worldwide. Some of the uses of internet are: entertainment, sending emails, information search, surfing, education, online libraries, etc. Internet provides various services that are used as a means of communication and information.

Voice chat is a modern form of communication used on the Internet. It allows two or more people from opposite ends of the world to talk almost free of cost. Video conference is a live video connection between people in separate locations for the purpose of communication or interaction.

Video-conferencing allows people to communicate visually from anywhere in the world. Internet chatting involves real-time instant text messaging between two or more users in chat rooms. E-mail is a method in which a message is composed, sent and received through the internet. Pictures, documents and other files are sent as email attachments. E-Commerce deals in buying and selling of products or services over Internet.

A search engine allows the user to search information over the internet according to the keywords entered by the user. Some popular search engines are Google and Yahoo. A web browser is the software used to download and display web pages on your computer. Some commonly used web browsers are Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
