Internal Assessment for CBSE Class 10 Social Science

Enrichment Works  5 marks  Students will be evaluated as per their assigned project works in this category. The quality of the project is the major criterion of marking over here. Students must be given special care over the project’s presentation, format and structure. The project in charge will not accept projects submitted after the submission date.

Project Work for CBSE Class 10 Social Science

The total number of marks allotted for the projects is 5. Students must follow some guidelines to score in the project.

  • Students must select one of the Globalisation and its Impact topics.(Such as the effectiveness of globalisation over a growing economy, etc.)
  • The project’s major goal is to provide the students with in-depth knowledge about the major aspects of globalisation.
  • It will be beneficial for enriching the student’s knowledge, and at the same time, it can make the student much sharper. The project under Globalisation will also assist the student in knowing about several modern economic trends, and the students can gather information about the major challenges of Globalization and their solutions.   • Students must perform the project all on their own. Students can surf the internet and gather relevant data, but they must not copy any information or data from the web pages, portals, or links. Students must also go through the class materials and notes while conducting the project and include them in their projects. The students are expected to create critical projects that will shed light on various aspects of globalisation. Students are also advised to add figures, graphs and charts to make their projects much more lucrative and attractive, carrying extra marks. 
  • Students must do the project on their own and must not copy each other’s work. Marking rubrics 

The marking of  projects can be strict. Hence, students are instructed to perform the projects by giving their best efforts. Content quality and Critical Analysis hold 2 marks. Structure, Formatting, Presentation and Originality hold 2 marks and 1 mark for Viva, where the students are supposed to explain how the summary of the entire project works to the project in charge. Students must remain prepared to counter some tricky questions of the project in charge. 

  • Students must also prepare a PowerPoint presentation of their project work, which needs to be given to the project in charge if needed. Students are likely toshare information on projects with different topics through Group discussions.
  • Students are advised to write their names on the first page of the project along with their identification number and the registration number of the board.
  • The students must prepare an abstract report, which will provide the outline of the project. It will consist of the following headings such as a project’s goal, a project’s background, a Problem statement, Activities to be done, a project timeline, new areas of concern, and a conclusion. The questions asked in the Viva session must also be included here.
  • Students are also advised to submit the project by conveying significant acknowledgement.
  • Students are instructed to conduct the project in an eco-friendly and ethical manner without harming any lives or creatures. 
  • Students are instructed to follow the ethics and code of conduct while conducting the research. 
  • Students are instructed that projects must be completed entirely on paper, with no computerised papers permitted.
  • Students are asked to submit the papers within the submission time and must keep time on hand for any kind of feedback.
