This chapter informs you about the atmosphere and its components like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, etc. It also talks about the structure of the atmosphere and its five layers – troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere. 5. Water

6. Natural Vegetation and Wildlife

8. Human-Environment Interactions – The Tropical and the Subtropical Region

Then comes life in the Ganga-Brahmaputra basin. You learn about the tributaries of Ganga, features of the basin, its varied topography, crops, vegetation, and wildlife. 9. Life in the Deserts
