A Pact With The Sun contains ten chapters. Each chapter is a story offering a moral lesson to the students. For example, the first chapter, ‘A Tale of Two Birds,’ teaches students the importance of the good company. Through the story, they learn that a person’s behaviour is enormously affected by the company they keep. 

Chapter 6 teaches students not to lose one’s calm in a time of crisis. The story also highlights the importance of remaining true to your friend and never breaking one’s trust. Here when the monkey learned of the grave danger he was in the middle of the river, he remained calm and quickly devised a plan to save himself. 

Similarly, chapter 9 also teaches the importance of co-existence and that animals also play essential roles in helping humans survive. Therefore, no one should underestimate others, especially animals. They also have the right to live on the planet as humans. 

Besides the moral lessons, students also learn about new words, phrases, etc., throughout the chapters. They also learn to think rationally and logically before arriving at any conclusion.
