CPT Full Form
Common Proficiency Tests are entrance examinations for Chartered Accountancy Courses. Students who have passed the 10th grade can register for the CPT Course by submitting the prescribed registration form along with the required fee. The CPT Full Form Examination must also be passed by students who have passed higher qualifications than 10th Class, such as B.Com, M.Com, L.L.B., ICWA, CS, and MBA. A CPT examination consists of four subjects:
(a) General Economics and Finance
(b) Quantitative Aptitude
(c) Fundamentals of Accounting
(d) Mercantile Laws
What is the full form of CPT?
Every year, the CPT Examination is held on a Sunday in June and December. To be eligible to take the CPT Full Form Examination, a student must have registered for the CPT Course with the Institute’s Board of Studies on or before April 1st, in the case of the June Examination.In the case of the December Examination, it must be submitted no later than 1st October. A student must have passed or already been enrolled in a 12th Class examination of a recognised board. On payment of Rs. 400/- (inclusive of the examination fee), the Examination Form is generally available in the first week of April for the June Examination and in the first week of October for the December Examination. The Institute’s Regional/Branch Offices across the country sell it.
CPT Eligibility Criteria
Question paper booklets are available in English or Hindi, while answer sheets are only available in English. Each student who appears in the CPT Full Form Examination is issued a Result Card within two weeks of the declaration of results. Graduates, postgraduates, and students with equivalent degrees are exempt from the CPT Full Form with effect from August 3, 2012. Graduates with 55% in commerce and 60% in other fields are eligible for direct admission to IPC
CPT Examination
CPT stands for “Common Proficiency Test.” The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conducts this entry-level examination for enrolment in the Chartered Accountancy course. It is also known as CA-CPT. To become a member of ICAI (Institute of Charted Accountants of India), one must pass a mandatory examination.
CPT Subjects
Applicants who have completed the 10th grade can enroll in the Institute of Charted Accountants of India. However, in order to take the CPT Full Form test, the candidate must have completed at least the 12th grade or an equivalent course of study at a recognised university. Upon submission of the fully filled application form, the CA CPT registration fee and tuition fees are due. Application forms can be downloaded from www.icai.org. This is an official website. CPT Exam Pattern and Duration
CPT is usually performed in June and December. Commerce graduates are exempt from the CPT Full Form, including other graduates and postgraduates. Achieve direct entry into the IPCC, the second level of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Examinations, with the appropriate score. For CPT examination registration, candidates must provide the following documents:
- Birth certificate of the candidate
- The attested copy of the admit card, pass certificate, and mark sheet for Class 10 must be approved by the gazette officer or head of the institution.
- Attested copies of admit cards, pass certificates, and mark sheets for Class 12 approved by a gazette officer or the institute’s head
- A foreign applicant must provide proof of citizenship.
- Aadhaar cards, voter cards, and driving licences are examples of residency proof.
- Proof of caste (Applicable to people with special needs, Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, and Other Backward Castes)
Session 1
The first session consists of two sections, covering 100 marks.
- Mercantile Laws – 40 marks
- Fundamentals of Accounting – 60 marks
Session 2
The second session consists of two sections, covering 100 marks.
- Quantitative Reasoning – 50 marks
- General Economics – 50 marks
